About the Author

Barbara Marion Wannenburgh (nee Taylor) was born on 23 August 1938 in Gardens, Cape Town. She was educated at Tamboerskloof Primary School and Johannesburg Girl's High School, Barnato Park. She was awarded school art prizes. While in Matriculation class, her first essay was published. Barbara matriculated in 1956. Art was included as one of her Matriculation subjects.
